We are seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join our Property Management Finance team. This role is critical in delivering financial and management accounts, reporting and compliance for a diverse property portfolio. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
The role is based at Savill head office, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2.
Key Responsibilities
Key tasks and responsibilities include the following:
Financial management and reporting
Prepare and deliver monthly reporting on landlord and service charge accounts to tight deadlines both to client and client appointed advisors.
Financial management of your property portfolio ensuring all bank, and other key balance sheet reconciliations, supporting lead schedules and analysis as required is completed.
Manage the service charge billing, expenditure, and lease management processes.
Compliance & Audit
Completion of the year end service charge audit certification process.
Compliance with Vat and others tax obligations recording, reporting, and filing.
Support audit process with documentation and insights to both internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
Ensure compliance with our property management departments documented control objectives and control activities.
Stakeholder & team Engagement
Collaborate with clients, fund managers, internal property managers, and site staff in meeting all commitments as part of our property service level agreements.
Support payables and receivables teams in maintaining precise and timely reporting of supplier and tenants accounts.
Operational efficiency and strategic growth
Support and actively participate in the implementation of automated and digital tools on our financial and operational workflows.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the department.
Other ad-hoc duties as determined by the business.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant with 3 years post qualification experience in a senior finance role.
Strong understanding of financial principles, operational processes, and best practices.
Interpersonal and communication skills, (written and verbal) with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
Ability to work well under pressure, to own and prioritise tasks and focus on meeting deadlines.
Experience within real estate and/or property management finance is highly desirable.
Highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Experience with large property systems is desirable but not essential e.g. Yardi, MRI, Qube.
