Barden are currently partnering with a large technology company, to assist in their search for a Network Engineer to join them in a 6 month contract role based in Dublin.
This is a unique opportunity to work on large scale, high availability network infrastructure supporting complex, global environments.
About the Role:
Supporting and troubleshooting large scale IP networks in a high traffic production environment.
Working with core routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
Hands on work with enterprise-grade Cisco router platforms.
Diagnosing and resolving complex network issues across routing, switching, and transport layers.
Exposure to a broad mix of technologies including DWDM, SONET, VLANs/STP, IPv4/IPv6, multicast, VPNs, and network security protocols.
About the Person:
Strong IP networking fundamentals with production network experience.
Hands‑on experience with BGP and OSPF routing environments.
Background working with Cisco routing platforms.
Excellent network troubleshooting and analysis skills.
Experience with some of the following is a plus: DWDM, SONET, VLANs/STP, TCP/IP internals, multicast, VPNs, NetFlow, DNS, HTTP.
This role is ideal for a network engineer who enjoys hands‑on work with complex networking problems and operating at scale.
Our client is based in Dublin, the team is in the office five days per week.
