Role Description
Brodeen Engineering are seeking an experienced
Qualified Accountant
with
5+ years of post-qualification industry experience
to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making within the company.
Salary
is negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation of the yearly financial statements and liaise with the auditors/accounts in this regard.
* Implement and manage a reporting structure which allows for up to date reporting in relation to specific jobs and overall accounts. This is to include standardised KPI's on all currently open and recently closed jobs.
* Collaborate with directors and senior management to drive long-term financial planning and business development initiatives.
* Ensure the preparation of timely monthly management accounts
* Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making, risk management, and profitability improvement.
* Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring that budgets reflect strategic objectives and operational realities.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards and Irish tax laws.
* Develop and implement strategies for cost control, financial risk management, and profitability improvement.
* Manage company ROS Compliance including but not restricted to;
Bi -Monthly VAT Returns
Monthly PAYE/PRSI Returns
Monthly VIES Returns
Monthly Intrastat Returns
Monthly RCT Returns
* Oversee various pension schemes and ensure compliance with new pension regulations. Liaise with pension companies/brokers with regards to weekly employee payments / AVC's / Company payments etc.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
* Update, create and maintain company SOP's in relation to financial reporting obligations for various tasks
