We are looking for an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team in Waterford, Ireland.
Shift pattern:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate maintenance of the factory building and surrounding premises, including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services.
2. Act as the point of contact for vendors, contractors, and sales representatives for plant and facility works.
3. Seek quotations and oversee contract works with external vendors.
4. Liaise with cleaning contractors to ensure standards and service contracts are maintained.
5. Ensure site and grounds maintenance are completed per contract and expectations.
6. Maintain records of all facilities-related tasks to meet auditing requirements.
7. Coordinate site facility activities in compliance with EHS standards and technical requirements.
8. Participate in or lead quality and safety processes such as MMCR, CAPA, PCF, NCE.
9. Oversee critical plant equipment, including inspections and preventive maintenance.
10. Manage electrical systems, AHUs, chillers, water supplies, lighting, and fire safety equipment.
11. Monitor and maintain cleanrooms and building management systems.
12. Ensure compliance with temperature, humidity, and air parameters for cleanroom standards.
13. Plan and coordinate facilities work to meet regulatory, quality, and safety standards, including GMP/GDP.
14. Support day-to-day operations, including change controls, project ramp-ups, and new initiatives.
15. Drive continuous improvement in facilities operations regarding performance, cost, and efficiency.
16. Respond to maintenance breakdowns and repairs.
17. Manage environmental monitoring and pest control.
18. Ensure compliance with FM Global programs and other safety standards.
19. Perform other duties as assigned, including working flexible shifts and outside hours as needed.
20. Develop proficiency in Jabil's lean problem-solving tools.
21. Maintain collaboration and communication with team leaders.
22. Support safety and quality initiatives and ensure GMP compliance.
Qualifications:
* Senior Trades Electrical / Mechanical certification essential.
* Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in facilities or related roles; experience in medical device/pharmaceutical environment advantageous.
Skills and Attributes:
* In-depth knowledge of plant systems, especially in medical device/pharmaceutical industries.
* Experience with preventive maintenance systems.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.
* Experience with compressed air, air handling, fire prevention, building management, and water systems.
* Ability to read P&ID diagrams and schematics.
