Design Build Search is seeking a Graduate Engineer on behalf of our client, an established main contractor specialising in ground-up construction projects. Due to a strong pipeline of work, our client is looking to bring a Graduate Engineer on board to support their site teams in South Dublin.
This role is ideal for a graduate engineer who has at least a year of local site experience and is keen to continue building practical, hands‑on knowledge while working on well‑run projects with an experienced team.
The Role:
You'll be working closely with the Project Engineer and Site Management team, getting involved in the day‑to‑day running of site and learning how projects are delivered from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting with setting out, quality checks, and technical queries
* Supporting site managers with daily site activities and coordination
* Working with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
* Helping prepare site paperwork such as method statements and risk assessments
* Monitoring progress and ensuring works are completed safely and to spec
What We're Looking For:
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
* 1+ year of local construction site experience
* Experience with a main contractor is a bonus
* A good understanding of drawings and construction details
* Strong communication skills and a practical, can‑do attitude
* Someone who's eager to learn, take responsibility, and grow within the company
