Responsibilities
* Maintain waste and refuse-free kitchen and floor areas.
* Verify that food deliveries correspond to supplied invoices.
* Ensure all incoming deliveries meet company quality standards.
* Safely store deliveries in accordance with First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles.
* Assist in unloading food and equipment deliveries.
* Review and complete assigned cleaning tasks as outlined on TRAIL (Training, Recording, and Information Logistics).
* Perform basic cleaning tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
* Update TRAIL tasks upon completion.
* Collect and wash pots and pans.
* Clean crockery and cutlery, and ensure food preparation areas are clean and prepared.
* Maintain an organized storeroom.
* Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and walls are consistently clean and sanitized.
* Maintain proper stock rotation in refrigerators, freezers, and dry goods storage areas, adhering to strict hygiene policies.
* Support other team members, such as the Bakery Chef, with daily tasks.
* Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
* Report any mechanical defects or repair needs.
* Maintain familiarity with and adhere to all company policies and procedures related to the Kitchen Porter role.
* Comply with all safety regulations as outlined in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and maintain a hazard-free work environment. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and adherence to the Food Safety Policy.
