Duties and Responsibilities Market and Regulatory Intelligence Conduct regular desktop research to monitor industry developments across traditional news, social media platforms, and trade publications.
Regularly review and analyse audit findings and operational data provided by dispatch operators and tour service providers to identify trends, assess compliance, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Identify emerging trends and operational risks through analysis of dispatch operator changes, service models, passenger feedback and new products or services.
Compile and issue weekly reports to inform compliance strategy and operational planning.
Passenger Experience and Field Testing Carry out structured passenger journey testing, both online and in the field, to assess compliance, accessibility, service quality, and consumer rights adherence.
Document and report on findings to support enforcement decisions and internal and external service improvements.
Compliance and Enforcement Support Assist in the planning and execution of regulatory compliance operations for SPSV, commercial bus services, and clamping enforcement.
Support intelligence-led enforcement activities through data gathering and incident analysis.
May require travel within Ireland as part of operational deployment.
Decision-Making and Governance Use data to drive recommendations and decisions.
Ensure adherence to transparency and accountability standards in all decision-making processes.
Administrative tasks as required.
Project and Process Management Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving regulatory oversight, customer experience, or operational efficiency.
Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and legal compliance across regulatory activities.
Apply project management skills to support the timely delivery of initiatives within budget and scope.

The person appointed requires the flexibility to fulfil other roles and responsibilities at a similar level within the Authority.

Each candidate must meet the following requirements at the time of the competition closing: Hold a minimum of an NFQ level 7 qualification in a regulatory, legal, business, compliance or equivalent discipline; Have at least 5 years recent satisfactory relevant experiencein regulatory, legal, business, compliance or equivalent discipline; Excellent verbal and written skills; and Uses data to drive decision making.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the proven ability to develop and deliver clear key messages; Governance, accountability and risk management experience; Experience in training development and delivery; Knowledge of public service policies, services and activities, specifically in the transport sector; i)Ownership, initiative and self-motivation over own work; Practical knowledge of legislation relating to the Freedom of Information and Data Protection; and A current Category B driving licence.
