Textiles Merchandising Controller
This is a dynamic and challenging role for an experienced Textiles Merchandising Controller to lead the creation and management of seasonal budgets, open-to-buy plans, and stock targets. The ideal candidate will have strong planning skills, with the ability to coordinate actions across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning: Develop seasonal budgets at section class level in collaboration with department buyers; set open-to-buy plans for the season and update actions on potential overtrades/underperforming areas with the buying team.
* Stock Management: Identify current shortages/oversupply of stock levels within stores/online/warehouse and agree actions to be taken; manage general markdowns (slow sellers/seasonal clean-ups etc.) and review size ratio issues.
* Co-ordination: Work with the buying team and online merchandising team to maintain online availability, agreeing season & launch quantities, online-specific packs, and ensuring replenishment is actioned daily.
* Launches: Manage fashion & transitional stories and seasonal events; plan and control department overheads.
Requirements:
* Strong planning skills with experience in budgeting and forecasting.
* Ability to coordinate actions across multiple teams.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in managing stock levels and performing markdowns.
* Familiarity with online merchandising systems.
