Job Title: P&C Underwriter Location: Dublin City Working Model: Hybrid (3 days in office following training) Abrivia are currently recruiting for a P&C Underwriter to join our client's commercial underwriting division.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role with a strong focus on new business underwriting and broker trading across package and property risks.
Your Role: Underwrite and quote new and renewal P&C package business in line with underwriting guidelines.
Manage a busy inbox of broker submissions, prioritising quick turnaround and quality underwriting service.
Work closely with the wider underwriting team, business development and broker partners to drive new business.
Maintain strong broker relationships and deliver consistent, responsive communication.
Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the underwriting proposition.
Record underwriting decisions and maintain accurate data on the system.
Your Skills: 2-4 years' experience in a commercial underwriting role, ideally within property or package products.
Strong ability to manage a fast-paced workload with a focus on service and turnaround.
Results-oriented with a strong appetite for new business underwriting.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when required.
Exposure to broker relationships in the Irish insurance market is advantageous.
High-performing assistant underwriters with 2+ years' experience will also be considered.
