Kilkenny - Support Worker - Children's Residential Services We are recruiting Support Workers to join a small, specialist childrens residential service providing structured, trauma-informed care.
Youll help create a safe, nurturing environment where children can build trust, develop skills, and experience meaningful daily life.
Key Responsibilities Provide daily support tailored to each childs needs.
Build warm, stable relationships that promote safety and growth.
Support routines (meals, personal care, recreation, school, community).
Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
Record notes, incidents, and observations in line with HIQA/TUSLA standards.
Contribute to teamwork, reflective practice, and supervision.
Requirements Recognised qualification in Social Care, Childcare, Psychology, Counselling, Nursing, Youth Work, or equivalent (minimum Level 57 depending on discipline).
Patience, consistency, emotional resilience, and belief in childrens potential.
Desirable: Full driving licence, experience supporting children with high support needs.
