Overview
As a Business Development Manager at Convergint Ireland, you will drive sales and expand our market presence across security systems, building technologies, and life-safety solutions. Reporting to local leadership, your mission is to foster long-term customer relationships and contribute to our service-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within Ireland and surrounding regions.
* Manage end-to-end sales cycles—from prospecting to closing.
Account Development
* Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, facilitating renewals and upselling projects or service contracts.
* Coordinate with client stakeholders to understand pain points and tailor compelling proposals.
* Prepare persuasive, accurate proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to customer needs.
* Work closely with internal teams (project management, engineering, service delivery) to ensure smooth customer onboarding and project handover.
* Monitor trends, competitors, and regulatory changes in the Irish security/technology landscape.
* Apply insights to shape sales strategy and capture emerging opportunities.
Performance Tracking
* Meet or exceed sales targets and monitor KPIs such as pipeline health, win rates, and customer satisfaction.
* Provide regular reporting and forecast updates to senior management.

What You’ll Need
* Proven track record of B2B sales success, especially in security systems, AV, digital transformation, or analogous technology sectors. (open to SAS sales experience also)
* Strong business development chops with experience in proposals, RFP/RFQ processes, and consultative selling.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement.
* Ability to interpret technical documentation and translate it into clear business value.
* Self-motivated, collaborative, and aligned with Convergint’s service-oriented culture.
Preferred
* Previous experience in system integration, security, fire safety, or building management systems.
* Local market knowledge in Ireland or EU regulations like GDPR.
Hours
Hours are within the standard business day from Monday to Friday. Office based with the potential for remote working in the future.
