Job Description
The role of an Engineering Technician is to provide technical support and maintenance for automated manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and documenting work to a GMP standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hands-on maintenance of highly automated Bespoke manufacturing equipment and related support equipment
* Manage external contractors in support of the Manufacturing equipment preventative maintenance plan
* Ensure spare parts, consumables, and documentation records are maintained
* Applying structured problem-solving techniques to equipment defects and issues
* Contribute to the continuous improvement approach, ensuring equipment is performing to expectation by utilising available performance data and working with wider Engineering support to correct and improve performance
* Support the creation and modification of documentation to support maintenance and calibration activities (PM, Data Sheets, Work Instructions, troubleshooting guides)
* Support compliance efforts related to Safety Events, Quality Events, CAPAs, change management, and investigations and assist in the investigation and resolution of electrical and mechanical issues on equipment
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of highly automated filling/sealing/assembly/packaging process equipment within a regulated industry
* National Mechanical/Electrical craft certificate or a third-level diploma/degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, automation, instrumentation, or mechanical)
* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills/self-motivated/self-starter
* Experience using a CMMS system, preferably SAP
* The ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative
* Excellent problem solver
* Dedicated, reliability, and flexible approach to work
