Job Title: Finance Officer
The role of the Finance Officer is to provide financial support to our organisation. This includes preparing monthly balance sheets, maintaining bank accounts and managing cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in collaboration with the Financial Accountant.
* Maintain register of bank accounts and manage related administration.
* Monitor cash flow to meet organisational requirements.
* Maintain register of VISA Purchasing Cards and process card issuance and cancellations.
* Process and review VISA statements and confirmations.
* Support implementation of National Procurement Contracts.
* Prepare compliance monitoring and statutory reports.
* Assist Accounts Payable as required.
* Provide cover for Accounts Officer and Financial Accountant during absences.
* Participate in special projects and provide guidance on finance issues to administrative staff.
* Represent the organisation on national working groups and support Head of Finance and Finance Operations Manager with ad hoc tasks.
Eligibility Criteria
* Significant experience in Bank and balance sheet reconciliations, Purchasing card administration and Monthly financial reporting.
* Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
* High level of initiative, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
* Honest, trustworthy, and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications
* Level 6 qualification in Accounting or Business.
* Experience with statutory audits.
