Job Title: Spa Therapist
Reporting to: Spa Manager
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a variety of therapeutic treatments and services to guests. The Spa at Kilkea Castle offers treatments such as facials, massages, body therapy and services such as our thermal suite and beauty bar. We work with products from Mervue Organic and Comfort Zone. The role involves maintaining a professional and calming demeanor and providing excellent service to guests.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administer various spa services and tailor treatments to meet individual guest needs.
2. Manage bookings and cancellations as needed.
3. Ensure that informed knowledgeable consultations are followed after each visit.
4. Ensure treatment rooms are cleaned in between services and well-stocked in advance of upcoming treatments.
5. Consult with Spa Management prior to treating any client condition/situation that may cause harm or distress to clients during or following a treatment.
6. Ensure full treatments are carried out as required by the Company through relevant training.
7. Greet clients with a friendly welcome.
8. Begin and end treatments at the published time, ensuring that clients are not kept waiting for their treatment at any time.
9. Ensure guest satisfaction at the end of each service.
10. Follow treatment room sanitization processes between guests.
11. Follow the procedures in the SPA SOP.
12. Report on all guest feedback to a supervisor or manager.
13. Report all accidents and incidents to the relevant people and report any maintenance issues or damages that may occur.
14. Adhere to strict health and safety regulations.
15. Carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company Policy.
Skills/Requirements
1. Previous experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
2. Previous experience using Phorest or a similar software preferred but not essential.
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
4. Attention to detail and ability to upsell products and services.
5. Good time management.
6. Ability to multitask and work well as part of a team.
7. Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
8. Good knowledge of proper hygiene practices and sanitisation protocols.
