Overview

Online Customer Service Advisor - Seasonal Contract at Harvey Norman Ireland. Based at the Head Office in Swords Business Park, Co. Dublin. Reports to the Head of Customer Service.

This is a seasonal fixed term contract from 1st October 2025 until 30th January 2026. Applicants must be living in Ireland and hold a valid work permit. The role requires flexible availability to cover store opening hours, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.


Responsibilities

* Ensure that Harvey Norman customers receive high quality telephone, email and chat service at first point of contact, dealing effectively with requests and processing each issue through to a satisfactory conclusion.
* Handle all queries within established best practices and department procedures, to the satisfaction of both customer and business.
* Establish positive relationships with internal and external colleagues, suppliers and customers to ensure delivery of Customer Service excellence.
* Respond to customer email queries, resolve queries professionally and efficiently, and support the stability and growth of the online channel. Interact with customers daily via telephone, email and LiveChat to enhance their online experience.


Qualifications and Skills

* Personal responsibility for meeting customer needs and resolving issues; customer-focused mindset.
* Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Ability to multi-task across multiple operating systems.
* Preferably 1 year of customer service, retailing or hospitality experience.
* Strong communication skills: clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to tailor approach to each customer.
* Hardworking, conscientious, self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure in a data-driven environment.
* Adaptable to change and open to learning new ways to achieve objectives.
* Attention to detail and organized; dependable and committed to delivering high standards.
* Background in online retail customer service, email support or call handling is advantageous.
