We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lean Manufacturing Manager to lead the deployment of Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives across our client's Limerick site. This role will champion continuous improvement and drive a culture of operational excellence to improve efficiency, quality, and value for customers. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritise and implement Lean strategies that support the site’s business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support Lean transformation across all manufacturing and support functions on site.
* Develop and execute site-wide Lean strategies in alignment with corporate operational excellence objectives.
* Facilitate value stream mapping and other Lean tools to identify improvement opportunities.
* Train, coach, and mentor employees at all levels in Lean principles, tools, and behaviors.
* Establish and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) to track progress, identify trends, and guide improvement efforts.
* Promote a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement across all levels of the organisation.
* Partner with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
* Implement standard work practices and visual management tools.
* Support capital investment projects by ensuring Lean principles are integrated into planning and execution phases.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
* 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on Lean implementation and leadership.
* Proven track record of driving operational excellence in a high-tech, regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical devices, automotive, pharma).
* Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate at all levels of the organisation.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
