The company is 25 years old and employs over 200 talented automation, electrical and IT engineers across offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, and Chesterfield, UK.NeoDyne is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the NeoDyne team and play a critical role in delivering automation expertise across the site.The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineer will support and enhance site-wide Building Automation and utility control systems within a regulated life-sciences manufacturing environment. The role is site-based and highly collaborative, working closely with facilities, HVAC, utilities, electrical, project teams, and external BAS vendors to support sustaining operations and upgrade projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain the site Building Automation System (Siemens Desigo CC) and associated utility automation systemsAct as a client-side technical interface with BAS vendors, system integrators, and project engineersProvide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for live operational systemsSupport BAS upgrade and improvement projects from design through commissioningDevelop and execute test procedures, FAT/SAT activities, and automation change controlsSupervise and coordinate vendor and contractor activities on-siteEnsure systems operate in accordance with design specifications and regulatory expectationsProduce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, reports, and work instructionsSupport training and knowledge transfer to site operations and maintenance teamsEnsure safe working practices and compliance with site EHS standards.Required Experience & SkillsStrong experience with Siemens Desigo / Desigo CC in a BAS or BMS environmentProven experience supporting BAS in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environmentsHands-on experience with:BAS troubleshooting and live-site supportFAT, SAT, and commissioning activitiesChange control and validation-related documentationSolid understanding of HVAC systems, including AHUs and critical building utilitiesExperience working directly with vendors and system integratorsAbility to work on-site full time and manage multiple priorities in an operational facilityStrong communication skills, with the ability to engage across engineering, facilities, and operations teamsDesired / Nice to HaveExperience interfacing equipment with Siemens PXC controllersKnowledge of Modbus or other BAS communication protocolsFamiliarity with GAMP lifecycle principlesExperience with GDP-compliant documentation practicesBackground supporting both project delivery and sustaining operationsDegree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)Prior experience supervising or coordinating external vendors and contractorsWhat's On OfferCompetitive hourly rate based on experiencePaid overtime available, depending on project demandsFlexible working hours may be accommodated in line with project requirementsOpportunity to work on a high-profile biopharma site with a collaborative, technically strong teamChance to be part of NeoDyne's network of engineering professionals, contributing to impactful automation solutions in the life sciences sectorNeoDyne Ltd is an equal opportunity employer, and all applications will be treated in strictest confidence.
