Financial Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join our team and play a key role in the financial administration of our hotel's operation.
The successful candidate will assist the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring that all financial policies and procedures are observed, safeguarding hotel assets and financial resources, and contributing to maximising hotel profitability.
1. Cost Management: Review costs and implement processes where savings can be made.
2. Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure that Heads of Departments understand departmental KPIs.
3. Financial Analysis: Review margins and highlight areas for improvement.
4. Forecasting: Prepare and review weekly revenue & payroll forecasts, actual vs forecast analysis, and preparation of weekly, monthly & year end forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Income Audit: Manage income audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
* Payroll Management: Oversee weekly and monthly payroll, including analysis and control.
* Creditors and Debtors: Regularly review creditor and debtor ledgers, PM accounts, and ensure tight controls on credit and timely collection of debts.
* Budgeting: Assist in preparing budgets with the CFO, ensuring they are logical and reflect the property's strategy.
Requirements:
* Education: University degree, major in accounting or finance preferred.
* Professional Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualifications are a plus but not essential.
* Experience: At least 5/10 years' experience as an accountant in a hotel setting.
* Skills: Great Excel skills and superior knowledge of Hospitality Systems, Opera Cloud, Simphony, Procure Wizard, Alkimii.
