Role Description
This is a part-time, remote role for a Cyber Security Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring the security of applications, networks, and information systems. Day-to-day tasks include assessing cybersecurity risks, implementing necessary protections, monitoring systems for potential threats, and responding to security breaches. Collaboration with team members to enhance security protocols will also be a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Application Security practices, including identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in software applications.
* Strong skills in Cybersecurity and Network Security, with the ability to safeguard systems and networks from various threats and attacks.
* Knowledge in Information Security, focusing on protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
* Expertise in general Cyber threat detection and response methodologies.
* Intermediate understanding of cryptography, incident response, and ethical hacking is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in high-pressure situations.
* Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
