We are seeking applications to join our talented multidisciplinary team within our growing Approved Centre. This centre focuses on specialist inpatient care through a model of recovery and rehabilitation, offering treatments such as psychological interventions, self-care, activities of daily living (ADL), medication management, peer support, occupational functioning, and physical health programs.
Job Objectives
The role of a psychiatric nurse is to provide care to our service users. We support your development and upskilling in delivering high-quality care, maintaining professional relationships with team members and service users.

Daily Responsibilities
* Join our dynamic team in our specialist inpatient Mental Health Service at Nua Healthcare.
* Manage and administer medications safely.
* Utilize nursing skills to support effective front-line support for all Service Users.
* Support the development and implementation of health assessments, medication plans, and related documentation, including personal, epilepsy, and diabetic plans.
* Ensure all Health Action Plans are properly delivered to Service Users.
* Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individual’s community.
* Communicate and liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
* Identify supports and collaborate with individuals, their families, and other supports as per Personal Plans.
* Assist patients with health appointments and follow through on recommendations.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patients and staff.
* Promote person-centered planning using key worker systems and shared goal setting, always maintaining confidentiality.
* Support the development of relevant documentation outlining supports for Patients, including personal plans and SOPs.
* Encourage community involvement opportunities for service users.
* Assist the DON in compiling and presenting reports as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
* Registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Excellent knowledge of medication management.
* Understanding of individual needs.
* Experience in psychiatric nursing.
* Supportive relationship skills.
* Effective communication skills, ability to work under pressure, initiative, reliability, flexibility, good organizational and IT skills, self-motivation.
