Meath, IrelandEmployment Type: Full-TimeSector: Food Production / Meat ProcessingAbout the RoleOn behalf of our client, Boyne Valley Meats, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team in Ardcath, Garristown, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery and plant equipment, ensuring efficient operations within a busy meat processing facility. Duties include preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Key TasksPerform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production machinery and plant equipment (e.g., conveyors, mixers, packaging lines).Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (e.g., 3-phase, fault finding), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems faults efficiently.Conduct routine inspections and safety checks.Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts inventory.Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP/Food Safety standards).Collaborate effectively with production staff to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.Read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints as needed for repair and installation.RequirementsPossess proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.Have strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Hold a relevant technical qualification (e.g., trade cert, diploma) in mechanical or electrical engineering.Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.Have a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.Possess good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Be flexible to meet operational needs and be on call if required.Have the right to work in Ireland.The Company OffersStarting salary of €39,000Accommodation support for the first three monthsA welcoming and multicultural work environmentFull training and development opportunitiesStable long‑term employment with opportunities for growthWork Permit sponsorship for the right candidate.
