As a key member of the finance team, The Part-Qualified Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting services to our clients. You will be responsible for managing core financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency and growth of the business. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate year-end financial statements and detailed supporting reports, ensuring they are ready for internal and external review. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases, and fixed assets, maintaining clarity and consistency across all entries. Accurately record and categorise financial transactions using accounting software, maintaining up-to-date and reliable financial data. Assist in the timely preparation of monthly management accounts and a range of ad-hoc financial reports to support internal decision-making. Ensure all financial reporting adheres to regulatory compliance standards and meets internal deadlines for submission and review. Support the year-end closing process by preparing schedules, reviewing account balances, and posting final journals as needed. Assist in compiling and reviewing Corporation Tax returns, ensuring all information provided is accurate and complete. Communicate professionally with clients by phone and email, providing timely, clear, and courteous support for financial queries. Collaborate with senior managers on a variety of special assignments and strategic projects, offering financial input and administrative support where needed. Skills and Experience: Part-qualified ACA or ACCA accountant Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice environment Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office Suite Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative Skills: Bank Reconciliations VAT Returns Preparation of Financial Statements Benefits: Benefits
