The role
Mechanical BIM QA/QC Overview
An opportunity is available for a Mechanical BIM QA/QC professional to support a growing portfolio of large-scale engineering and construction projects across multiple sectors, including energy, power, renewables, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and data centres.
This role will focus on ensuring quality, consistency, and coordination of BIM deliverables within a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and validate 2D schematic to 3D model conversions
Ensure compliance with BIM modelling standards and identify clashes
Carry out 3D coordination of Asset Information Models
Produce visual outputs and images to support clash detection reports
Support the development of as‑built documentation
Adhere to document control procedures and workflows
Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager
Attend project meetings and interface with stakeholders as required
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ relevant mechanical experience or trade background (e.g., Pipefitter/Plumber)
Proficiency in Autodesk software and BIM tools
Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologiesExperience with AutoCAD service drawings
Working knowledge of:
AutoCAD
Navisworks
Plant 3D
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Effective team collaboration and communication skills
