SOCIAL CARE WORKERS/SUPPORT WORKERS
The focus of this role will be to support an individual in realizing their vision of leading a good life through Person Centred approaches aligned with personal interests, skills, will, and preferences.

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, creative, and energetic Social Care Workers and Support Workers to support individuals with an intellectual disability in achieving their vision of a ‘good life’. The role involves leading initiatives to help individuals live life on their own terms, supporting them to become connected and valued within their local community, providing opportunities for new experiences, and assisting in developing genuine relationships.
The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in supporting individuals to develop valued social roles, experience supporting individuals with communication needs and behaviors of concern, and familiarity with person-centred planning and individualised support approaches.

Essential Requirements and Qualities:
* Relevant recognized Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care / Social Care Practice (minimum Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications), CORU approved. Candidates must be registered or in the process of registering with CORU.
* Knowledge of HIQA Standards.
* A valid driving license for manual vehicles in Ireland.
* Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.
* Excellent organizational, logistical, and IT skills are an advantage.
* Supportive, dependable team player.
* Experience and commitment to supporting individuals to connect with their local community.
* Self-awareness.
* Suitability as outlined in the role introduction.
Please note that successful candidates must be available for day, weekend, waking night, and overnight shifts, including sleep-overs. Willingness to work alone in residents’ homes and various locations is also required.
