Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 is a pivotal position in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area.
Main Responsibilities:
* Quality Assurance: Ensuring high-quality patient care through effective monitoring and evaluation of nursing practices.
* Resource Management: Coordinating staff, budget, and equipment to optimize operational efficiency.
* Staff Development: Fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among nursing staff.
* Practice Development: Implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction.
* Clinical Leadership: Providing expert guidance and support to nursing teams to achieve optimal patient care.
Key Qualifications:
1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or entitled to be registered.
2. At least 5 years post-registration experience, including 2 years in the specialty or related area.
3. Proven clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to discharge role functions effectively.
4. Evidence of continuous professional development and commitment to ongoing learning.
Annual Registration:
* Maintain live annual registration on the relevant NMBI division.
* Confirm annual registration with NMBI via the Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Post-Specific Requirements:
Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in respiratory nursing, including care for the elderly as relevant to the role.
