IT Infrastructure & Compute AnalystLocation: Cork, IrelandType: Contract (12 months, full-time)This is a critical role within the IT function supporting a large campus in Cork, comprising multiple manufacturing plants, R&D offices, and headquarters. The team is responsible for delivering infrastructure and operations stability, performance, and compliance to global enterprise standards.The IT Infrastructure & Compute Analyst will ensure a secure and compliant compute environment, provide support across enterprise and manufacturing systems, and drive best practices in compute operations across other sites.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain operational performance and stability of the compute environment across the Cork campus, ensuring resilience, minimising downtime, and managing incidents.Oversee infrastructure patching schedules, vulnerability management, and ensure compliance with global security standards.Coordinate disaster recovery testing and maintain relevant security tools (e.g., SEP, BigFix).Act as the primary point of contact for SQL environment support.Lead vendor management activities including contract renewals, troubleshooting, solution scoping, and quotations.Support integration and lifecycle management projects involving compute, storage, backup, and manufacturing systems.Track and report on compute financial spend, working closely with management and finance.Collaborate with internal IT teams (architecture, network, workplace services, incident/change management) and business stakeholders to deliver projects and ensure operational excellence.Provide technical leadership and influence on IT best practices across multiple functions.Essential Skills & Experience5+ years' experience in Compute IT Operations.Strong technical expertise across Compute, Network, Workplace Services & Security technologies.Degree/Masters in IT or related field, or equivalent professional experience.Certifications/qualifications in Microsoft Windows OS, MS SQL, VMware, Cisco, and Azure/Cloud.Proven experience managing external vendors and third-party managed service providers.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage at all organisational levels.Desired Skills & Experience5+ years' Workplace Services experience.Strong executive support background.Experience with teleconferencing technologies and enterprise collaboration tools.Project and integration experience with technologies such as:SAN Enterprise Storage managementBackup Appliances (Rubrik, Veritas), Tape LibrariesESXi VMware environmentCisco Switches, Cisco ISEActive Directory & Group PolicyRDS/CitrixSymantec, WSUS, BigFixService-Now (Change, Incident, Problem Management)Awareness of IT/OT governance strategies.Ability to take end-to-end ownership, influence across functions, and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
