Medforce Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join the Children in Care Services team based in Waterford. Role Overview:
As a Social Care Worker, you will work directly with children and young people in the care system, providing high-quality care and support in line with the company’s standards. You will play a vital role in promoting their welfare, development, and independence while working collaboratively as part of a professional team.
Key Responsibilities of the Social Care Worker:
* Provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people in care.
* Promote the emotional, social, and educational development of each child.
* Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
* Contribute to individual care plans and support their implementation.
* Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with social workers, health professionals, and other stakeholders.
* Maintain records and documentation in line with the company’s policies.
Requirements for the Social Care Worker:
* A recognised qualification in Social Care or an equivalent discipline (minimum Level 7).
* Previous experience working with children or young people in a care or residential setting is desirable.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to remain resilient, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations.
* A full driver’s licence and access to transport is an advantage.
