Role Title: UX Researcher

Role Location: Dublin

As a User Experience Researcher, you will play a critical role in helping us understand our customers and improve our digital platforms

Role Purpose

* Define, plan, and conduct generative research to inform early-stage strategy, and evaluative research to test and refine solutions throughout the product and service lifecycle.
* Collaborate with Senior UX Researchers, Business Analysts, the Design Team, and Developers to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunities that help inform the design of Vhi’s digital products and services.
* Work with other departments to triangulate and synthesise research findings—integrating quantitative data from the analytics team to validate qualitative insights and uncover the “why” behind user behaviours.
* Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights, and effectively communicate them to cross-functional teams and stakeholders to inform design and product decisions.
* Support research operations, including participant recruitment, scheduling, consent, and incentive coordination, to ensure studies run smoothly and efficiently.
* Advocate for the user and champion user-centric thinking across the organisation.
* Support the research team in delivering high-quality UX studies on time and within scope.


Education & Experience

* A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., HCI, Psychology, UX, Sociology) is preferred.
* Strong qualitative research and analysis skills.
* Solid knowledge of both generative and evaluative research methods, including an understanding of their respective strengths and limitations.
* Confidence working with quantitative data (e.g., survey data).
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning, conducting, and analysing user research.
* Experience with design thinking methodologies is desirable.
* Previous experience in the healthcare or insurance industry is an advantage.
* Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values

Technical:

* Research planning, benchmarking, interviewing, usability testing/prototype testing, persona development, journey mapping.


Interpersonal:

* Strong personal skills in communication, collaboration, time management, and problem-solving. Demonstrates alignment with Vhi’s values and behaviours.
