POSITION SUMMARY This is a key position within Zoetis Global Manufacturing Supply (GMS) organization. The principal purpose of the role is to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency throughout the organization by implementing best practices, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The Operational Excellence Lead will provide leadership and hands on implementation in support of the overall Operational Excellence transformation program and will have full responsibility for the Rathdrum site's OpEx programs. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Key objectives of this position include: Define and maintain the continuous improvement strategy of the plant in the OpEx Masterplan. Initiating sustainable transformational business improvement programs to meet/exceed customer expectations while using lean & Six Sigma thinking to drive continuous process improvement. Lead teams through the implementation of Lean Six Sigma projects to address specific business process problems and the design of new simplified standardized processes. Support all areas in Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Key Performance indicators to drive measurable outcomes. Achieve agreed objectives as a result of improvement projects. Assist in the selection of priority Lean & Six Sigma projects for the plant. Provide Lean & Six Sigma training as needed for the plant: Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Standard Work, 5S, Human Performance, Lean. Coordinate the OpEx program with the Global OpEx team. Serve as a recognized expert to facilitate problem solving, workouts, value stream mapping and special data analysis as required. Ensure regular presence on the shop floor and other areas to engage with operational teams, observe processes and identify opportunities for improvement through direct interaction and observation. Network both internally and externally to exchange learning's and ensure best practices are adopted throughout the operations. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Directly reports to the Rathdrum Site Leader Develop Strong working relationships with Rathdrum Site Leadership Team, Extended Leadership Team Global OpEx colleagues and GMS colleagues as required for project support. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent Certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt level (desirable) Minimum of 5 years progressive work experience in business environment preferably manufacturing, technical/engineering or supply chain management Project management experience Demonstrated leadership and experience in leading teams / driving Lean Six Sigma project execution. Proven ability to influence, drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment. Experience in data and metrics analysis. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with broad facilitation experience. TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Change agent with strong credibility. PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Role is based at Rathdrum, Ireland. Role may require incumbent to travel 5% of time.
