About the Post
This specialist role involves assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care for Service Owners and families. The post holder will provide direct nursing care and support in Adult Day Services, focusing on complex care and behaviours of concern. They will also provide clinical supervision, support clinical practice, and develop/deliver bespoke training programs to ensure staff competence.
Key Responsibilities
* Nursing Care: Provide high-quality direct nursing care and support to individuals with complex needs in Adult Day Services.
* Clinical Supervision: Offer clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing staff to enhance their skills and confidence.
* Bespoke Training: Develop and deliver tailored training programs to equip staff with the necessary knowledge and competencies to manage complex care and behaviours of concern.
Candidate Requirements
* Educational Qualifications: A recognised degree in General/RNID/Pediatric Nursing/Clinical Nurse Specialist.
* Registration: Registration with An Bord Altranais (NMBI).
* Postgraduate Qualification: A postgraduate (Level 9) nursing qualification.
* Behaviour Support: A qualification in Behaviour Support.
* Experience: At least 5 years' frontline experience working with individuals with disabilities and medical needs, including experience supporting staff with behaviour support plans and training areas like Medication Management, PEG feeding, MAPA, Positive Behaviour Support, Epilepsy, Train the Trainer, etc.
* Knowledge: Knowledge of Enable Ireland and working in large organisations.

* Certified MAPA Trainer: Certified MAPA trainer status.
