As we continue to grow and innovate, we're now looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef to support our culinary team.
About the Role:
The Junior Sous Chef is a key leadership role in the kitchen, working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to manage daily operations, support junior kitchen staff, and help maintain the highest food and hygiene standards. You'll be hands-on in food preparation and service, and play an active role in mentoring and developing team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Senior Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
* Lead and supervise shifts and kitchen sections as needed.
* Ensure consistency and high-quality food presentation.
* Contribute to new menu development and seasonal planning.
* Maintain excellent hygiene and HACCP standards at all times.
* Assist in training and mentoring Commis and Demi Chefs.
* Monitor stock, minimise waste, and assist with ordering.
Who You Are:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy kitchen.
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for modern Irish cuisine.
* Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
* Creative, organised, and committed to delivering high standards.
* Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
