Job Purpose
The Medical Manager is responsible for executing the Medical Affairs plan and ensuring its successful delivery in alignment with the organization's overall strategy. The role fosters strong scientific relationships with healthcare professionals—including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), researchers, and clinicians—by providing accurate, balanced medical and scientific information and supporting product launches and commercialization. The Medical Manager also contributes medical and scientific expertise to brand teams, supports evidence-based communication, and drives cross-functional initiatives that enhance the value and impact of Medical Affairs within the healthcare ecosystem.
Major Accountabilities
1. Scientific Expertise
* Maintain deep knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas, products, and scientific literature.
* MS experience is essential
—significant expertise in Multiple Sclerosis, including current treatment guidelines, emerging data, and clinical practice trends.
* Stay updated on clinical advances, research developments, and evolving standards of care.
2. Medical Education & Data Communication
* Provide scientific and clinical education to healthcare professionals.
* Effectively communicate clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and key scientific publications.
* Ensure all information shared is accurate, balanced, and aligned with medical governance.
3. KOL / HCP Engagement
* Build and maintain strong external scientific relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and other experts.
* Participate in scientific discussions, advisory meetings, and evidence-generation activities.
* Facilitate collaborations in clinical research and other relevant medical initiatives.
4. Compliance & Ethics
* Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry codes.
* Uphold the non-promotional nature of Medical Affairs.
* Promote high ethical standards in all interactions with healthcare professionals.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Input
* Partner with commercial, regulatory, market access, and other internal teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Provide medical insights to inform strategies, launch plans, and scientific content development.
* Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing organizational performance and healthcare impact.
