Overview of Role
UPMC is hiring a billing and accounts receivable administrator on a permanent, full-time contract.
We seek a detail-oriented individual with at least 2 years of accounts receivable administration experience to join an experienced team managing the Accounts Receivable process.
The AR administrator facilitates billing of patient hospital admissions and reconciling payments due.
Responsibilities include account follow-up with insurance payers, contact with patients, and coordination with third parties as required.
The applicant should display a positive, proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and multitask while communicating effectively.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Invoicing of claims once a patient has been discharged from the hospital in a timely and efficient manner.
Reconciliation of payments received, following up with private health insurance providers, HSE and patients for outstanding balances.
Actioning pending claims received from insurance providers, ensuring required information is returned promptly.
Processing overdue letters to patients for monies owed.
Liaising with a third-party collection agency on monies owed.
Following up on claims not paid or pending with insurance providers.
Answering customer enquiries on invoice queries.
Supporting the team with ongoing projects.
Qualifications & Experience
At least 2 years of accounts receivable administration experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Salary:
€30,000 – €35,000 per annum based on a 39-hour week
