Orpen Franks Solicitors LLP, a long-established mid-sized Dublin law firm, is seeking a Legal Executive for their Corporate Commercial team. This is a permanent, full time role, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal executive to join a busy and supportive team, with an immediate start available. The firm is part of an international network of independent law firms.
The Team
Orpen Franks Solicitors LLP Corporate and Commercial Department advises on the full range of corporate and commercial transactions, providing a comprehensive service to a varied client base across an evolving regulatory landscape in Ireland.
The team is led by Claire Morgan, Partner, and its work covers share and asset sales and purchases, company restructuring, partnership agreements, commercial contracts and agreements, shareholder agreements, intellectual property, joint ventures and company secretarial matters. The team works closely with colleagues across the firm to provide a seamless and results-driven service.
The Role
As a Legal Executive in the team, you will:
work closely with and provide daily support to fee earners in the department
provide company secretarial support to clients
ensure accurate file management and time recording
ensure deadlines and timescales are met
continue to build excellent knowledge within your area of practice
Experience and skills
Candidates should currently be working, or have recently worked, in private practice or an in-house legal role, and should have experience and confidence in:
supporting fee earners on acquisition transactions (acting for both buyer and seller), including running due diligence exercises, reviewing documentation and preparing reports for clients
company secretarial filings, preparation of minutes and drafting of resolutions
company law generally
working with MS Office and standard legal IT tools
The successful candidate will be motivated and client-focused, work well with experienced colleagues, maintain high standards of work, and adapt readily to new areas of law as the practice develops. They will be a good communicator with excellent attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have
a Diploma in Legal Studies or an equivalent legal qualification
previous experience in a similar role
proven organisational and administrative ability and excellent communication skills
a positive, proactive approach to work and a high degree of attention to detail
