Power BI Delivery Consultant - Contract | Dublin (Hybrid) )
We're looking for an experienced Power BI Delivery Consultant to join a fast-moving data transformation programme for a leading organisation. You'll be the critical link between business stakeholders and our external data delivery partner ensuring the solution is accurate, trusted, and ready for go-live.
What you'll be doing
Translate business reporting needs into clear Power BI requirements and ensure dashboards reflect agreed metric definitions
Review dataset design, data models, and DAX logic - holding the bar on performance, usability, and scalability
Define and lead UAT, validate outputs against legacy reporting, and own issue triage through to resolution
Work closely with the data engineering partner (Azure / Databricks) and provide oversight on technical design decisions
Keep stakeholders aligned with clear, jargon-free progress updates throughout the delivery
Validate go-live readiness and support post-release hypercare
What you'll bring
Proven end-to-end Power BI delivery experience
Strong data modelling skills: star schema, semantic layers, DAX, and performance optimisation
A track record of senior stakeholder engagement and leading UAT programmes
The ability to move comfortably between business conversations and technical detail
Nice to have
Azure (ADF / Databricks / Synapse)
Retail or multi-site reporting experience
Financial reporting background
Experience on at-risk or tight-timeline programmes
