Celtic Careers is working with an established commercial vehicle sales client seeking an experienced Aftersales & Operations Manager to take ownership of its workshop and customer service function. This role requires a balance of technical capability, leadership strength, and commercial judgement to ensure consistent workshop performance and strong customer retention. Key Responsibilities Youll take ownership of workshop performance, ensuring work is planned effectively, delivered on time, and completed to a high standard. Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and workflow planning Ensure repair quality meets manufacturer and safety standards Coordinate with parts and support teams to minimise downtime Manage job control, quotations, warranty queries, and service admin issues Monitor productivity, efficiency, and workshop output Maintain equipment, compliance, and safety standards Support budgeting, cost control, and operational planning Review payroll inputs including overtime approval Youll also ensure customers receive a consistent, professional service experience and that escalations are handled effectively. Lead the customer service advisors across the full customer journey Manage escalations, complaints, and complex customer issues Build strong long-term customer relationships through clear communication Maintain high standards of customer experience throughout Leadership & Team Development This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and driving performance across an experienced team. Lead and support supervisors, technicians, and service advisors Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching Deliver toolbox talks and ensure training compliance Promote a strong culture of accountability, process, and continuous improvement Create a positive, high-performance, customer-focused environment Commercial & Performance Management You will be accountable for departmental performance and ensuring strong commercial discipline across the workshop.
