Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Role Overview
We're looking for a dedicated, organised, and people‑focused leader to help drive the next stage of Chartered Capital's growth. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will act as the integrator, ensuring the business runs smoothly, the team is supported, and our plans are delivered with excellence.
Leadership
* Serve as the integrator between the MD and the wider team (Financial Planner, Client Administrator, Client Experience Administrator) to ensure the business operates cohesively and efficiently.
* Help to further develop, agree, document and drive the implementation of the Business Plan.
* Coordinate and chair monthly management meetings, as well as quarterly and annual business review sessions.
* Manage and nurture relationships with key third‑party suppliers (e.g. 3rd party compliance consultants, accountants, software providers, marketing partners).
Operations
* Establish, oversee, and continuously improve business operations to support and achieve company goals.
Human Resources
* Ensure all HR matters are handled in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Lead, support, and manage the team to deliver on agreed business objectives.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and departure processes for all staff.
Compliance
* Ensure that all business activities align with Central Bank of Ireland requirements.
* Assist the internal compliance team in maintaining and demonstrating the firm's ongoing compliance standards.
Finance
* Oversee core accounting functions including payroll, bookkeeping, and invoicing.
* Monitor budgets and income levels to ensure performance targets and margins are consistently met.
* Develop MI and trend analysis.
* Coordinate the annual audit and preparation of year‑end accounts.
IT
* Ensure technology is leveraged effectively to enhance efficiency and create meaningful time savings across the business.
* Act as main point of contact for internal tech issues and liaise with 3rd party specialists to have any tech issues resolved in a satisfactory and timely fashion.
Marketing
* Oversee marketing plans, objectives, and activities within the context of the overall Business Plan.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Accountant with experience in a senior operational or practice management role, ideally within financial services or a professional services environment.
* Strong understanding of business operations, systems, and team dynamics.
* Proven leadership and people management skills.
* A collaborative mindset, genuine passion for helping others succeed, and a commitment to delivering ethical, client‑first service.
