This will involve, but is not limited to, customer visits and calls, planning and preparing presentations, applying strong process knowledge, and supplying feedback to the account manager and application team.Key responsibilitiesInterpretation of briefs to ensure the development of market suitable products in line with customer expectations, operational constraints, and commercial needs.Develop products in line with Sustainable NutritionUnderstanding of the UK market – focus on retailers, salt levels, ingredient restrictions etcUnderstanding of Service levels, ways of working, BU & Function strategic prioritiesManaging projects & coordination of cross functional project teams.'Bring alive' business aligned opportunities that allow stakeholders to see, touch & taste the futureActively liaise with the cross functional team to discuss all new products, raw materials, and processing to remove issues at the front end of the development process.Maintain awareness of the external market – food, retail, restaurant, health & nutrition, technology, and brands – competitor and consumer trends, feeding back to the wider RDA and Business Development teamswork with market insights and other teams to identify unmet and future consumer needs, driving new thinking to facilitate the development of products to match these needs.Create concepts which enable fresh thinking, ideas and concepts across the product groups which input into customer focused briefs.Work closely with Business Development & Account Managers to understand customer requirements and gain improved relationships within key customers (to be agreed)Qualifications and skillsPrevious experience of processing & knowledge of food manufacturing,Experience in developing meat coating systems and seasonings is desiredBe able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Flavours and Food Preservation systemsFull training will be providedFull driving licence is requiredExcellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & report resultsAbility to work cross-functionally and with other departments and teamsAble to demonstrate skills at prioritising your work and managing a variety of projects/briefsHave a passion for food and the ability to confidently present products and information to customersPossess excellent organisational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel)Please note We do not accept CVs or candidate profiles from recruitment agencies where terms of business have not been signed.
