Assistant Store ManagerThough this role is for a fashion retailer (very much targetted towards tourists), non-fashion and grocery candidates have worked well in this business, so I am very open to the candidate background once you have the people management piece.Salary is up to €40K plus 10% bonus paid monthly bringing the total package to €44,000.My client based in Dublin City Centre is recruiting a Retail Assistant Manager to join a high volume, high turnover retail business.The store is absolutely beautiful and is in a prime location on the Southside with lots of passing trade and tourists who are very much in spending mode
The ideal candidate will have a background in working with large volumes of stock, delivery processing, merchandising and with a proven track record of people & performance management and getting the very best out of your team.You will also support your Store Manager in hitting store KPI' and targets and with all visual and commercial aspects of the business.I welcome fashion, non-fashion, or grocery retail candidates.During peak season which is March to August the store opens to 10pm so late shifts and weekends are part of this job.Key Responsibilities for the job of Assistant Store Manager Oversee all aspects of daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient performance
Inspire and lead the sales team to consistently meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs)
Maintain high visual merchandising standards to enhance commercial appeal and customer experience
Communicate customer insights and feedback to head office buying and merchandising teams
Drive additional revenue through effective upselling techniques and alternative product recommendations
Implement loss prevention strategies and coordinate regular stocktakes
Interpret sales data and KPI trends to inform strategic business decisions
Foster a customer-first culture by delivering outstanding service at every touchpoint
Train, mentor, and support staff in developing product knowledge, sales acumen, and service excellence
Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and overall productivity on a continual basis
Lead recruitment efforts, staff induction, and ongoing training programs
Manage financial operations including cash handling, payroll processing, and daily banking
Track and control store profitability, margins, and budget performance
Uphold all Health & Safety standards to ensure a secure working and shopping environment
