Cork University Hospital (CUH) is a public hospital owned and managed by the Health Service Executive (HSE) and is a member of the South/South West Hospital Group.

The S/SWHG comprises 5 statutory hospitals and 2 voluntary hospitals.
Mercy University Hospital (MUH) - Voluntary Hospital South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital (SIVUH) - Voluntary Hospital The two voluntary hospitals in the group are funded by the HSE as Section 38 agencies under the Health Act 2004.
The primary academic partner for the group is University College Cork (UCC), which, together with our Higher Education Institute of Technology in Cork, plays a vital role in developing academic teaching, research, and innovation to improve health outcomes for the population in the S/SWHG.
