A global banking organisation is hiring an experienced Risk & Controls specialist to lead and manage operational resilience testing initiatives. This role is crucial in ensuring the systems and processes can withstand and recover from potential disruptions. The successful candidate will oversee the development and execution of both scenario-based and IT disaster recovery tests to validate their resilience capabilities.
You will:
Lead Testing Initiatives: Manage and coordinate comprehensive testing programs, including scenario tests and IT disaster recovery tests, across various locations and systems.
Scenario Testing: Conduct advanced scenario tests that may involve physical testing (e.g., "pulling out cables") and systems-based evaluations to assess our cyber resilience.
IT Disaster Recovery: Oversee IT disaster recovery tests, ensuring they are effectively managed and align with resilience objectives.
Testing Library: Develop and maintain a library of impactful tests that challenge our systems and processes, providing evidence of resilience.
Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with IT, operations, and compliance teams to ensure testing strategies are aligned with organisational goals.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure testing practices meet regulatory requirements and demonstrate our commitment to resilience.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior leadership and the board to communicate testing outcomes, risks, and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing testing processes and resilience strategies.
