Overview
The Care Assistant role is a vital part of our team in providing high-quality care to residents. The position involves working collaboratively with nursing staff to deliver person-centred care, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of residents are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the nursing staff in delivering care to residents
* Getting to know residents' interests and needs, providing attention, support and companionship
* Promoting the mobility of residents, supervising and assisting as necessary to ensure optimum mobility is maintained and improved where possible
Skills And Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent (in process or completed), experience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards) preferable. They should also possess excellent communication and listening skills, be reliable and professional, able to work independently or part of a team.
