Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled MEICA Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in project management and delivery.
The role will involve managing key water and wastewater infrastructure projects, overseeing the full project lifecycle including design, procurement, administration and handover stages.
Responsibilities include development of preliminary designs, development of design drawings, technical reports and calculations, evaluation of client specifications as well as liaison with client and client representatives.
We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can provide support to the project manager, liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations ensuring full specification compliance, prepare technical submissions and reports for client approval, generate contract programs of work, monitor and update the progress of projects against the contract program, schedule resources and contractors to ensure the delivery schedule is met, prepare method statements and risk assessments for upcoming works, implement project quality control procedures, track finances and report on project status, conduct site liaison and supervision, scheduling of crews and sub-contractors, procurement of all plant and material for the sites, site surveys and generation of works packages, maintain and update site safety files ensuring full compliance with current regulations, attend site for safety audits and project supervision, update drawings for construction with vendor packages, document control for all aspects of the contract, maintain a variation and change order log, compile operational and maintenance manuals.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' mechanical/electrical engineering experience, with knowledge and experience of the water and wastewater industry an advantage.
A working knowledge of AutoCAD and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
