Location: Kingswood Dublin 24Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead their Sales function across Ireland, encompassing both Area Sales and Inside Sales. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding our market presence, and delivering exceptional value to customers.As Sales Director, you will shape and execute the regional commercial strategy, build and inspire a high-performing sales team, and ensure excellence in execution through strong processes and customer engagement. You’ll work cross-functionally to align efforts across the business, unlocking new opportunities and strengthening their competitive position. Acting as a key representative of the company within Ireland’s industrial and technology landscape, you will also ensure full compliance with local regulations while staying closely attuned to market trends and dynamics.What does my day to day look like?Define and deliver a high-impact regional sales strategy for Ireland, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and diversification in priority sectorsIdentify and capitalise on market opportunities by analysing competitive trends and developing new routes to market, including strategic partnerships and key account initiativesBuild and lead a high-performing, scalable Sales organisation across Ireland, setting clear KPIs, driving alignment with business priorities, and fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, and continuous improvementOversee operational excellence across the business, including warehouse operations, while developing strong talent pipelines and succession plans to support long-term growth.Deliver revenue, profitability, and margin growth by owning the sales budget, managing forecasting and pipeline accuracy, and driving pricing strategies and CRM discipline.Ensure operational and regulatory excellence by overseeing compliance, tendering and procurement, while strengthening the company’s profile within the Irish innovation ecosystem.Collaborate internally with Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, HR, and global sales teams to align strategy, planning, and organisational priorities.Build and maintain senior external relationships by representing the company at industry events and acting as a key spokesperson in Ireland.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.10+ years’ experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of delivering revenue growth.3–5 years in a senior leadership role, including experience managing multi-country sales teams.Experience across direct, channel, and enterprise sales; background in engineering software or technical solutions is an advantage.Strong understanding of UK & Irish industrial markets, CRM systems, and key compliance, H&S, sustainability, and procurement standards.
