Western Alzheimers is currently recruiting for Healthcare Support Assistants within Day Care facilities. This CE Placement offers a developmental opportunity with no prior experience required.
Duties
Accredited training to support career development and help achieve QQI /FETAC Level 5. Coaching and mentoring will be provided to develop confidence and competencies within the role. Specific responsibilities include caring for people with Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia, assisting with personal care, preparing meals, promoting social engagement, stimulating therapeutic activities, and maintaining cleanliness of the day care centre and kitchen.
Eligibility and Application
Eligibility generally requires individuals who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for one year or more, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Verification will be conducted by the Department.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and complete a Garda vetting application form.
