Senior DevOps Engineer | Belfast | Hybrid | Up to £70,000We are working with a globally recognised media and technology organisation to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer into their Belfast engineering team.This is a hands-on senior role sitting at the heart of a live re-platforming project, migrating a legacy application into AWS and modernising it for cloud-native best practices. You will work alongside an experienced senior engineer to drive this forward, with real ownership and influence over architecture decisions, not a ticket-by-ticket delivery role.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead infrastructure improvements, and help shape the DevOps practice across the organisation. If you want genuine end-to-end ownership of a production environment and the chance to leave a real technical mark on a meaningful project, this is a strong opportunity to do that.What you will be doing:Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure on AWSDriving the migration of legacy systems into cloud-native architecturesDeveloping and maintaining infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or comparable toolingImproving system reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency across environmentsModernising CI/CD practices to enable safe, rapid delivery across multiple environmentsSupporting incident response and improving operational visibility through monitoring, logging, and tracingMentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering standards and design reviewsWhat we are looking for:Deep, broad AWS experience across the full ecosystem, not siloed knowledge of individual servicesStrong Linux fundamentals, considered essential for this roleStrong networking knowledge and an understanding of distributed architecturesA track record of owning and running production environments end to endExperience with containerised workloads in production using Docker, ECS, or KubernetesProficiency in Terraform or a comparable infrastructure-as-code toolStrong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Go, or similarUseful but not essential:Experience with Ansible, Cloudflare, PostgreSQL, or MySQL in productionFamiliarity with observability platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, or ELKExposure to multi-tenant SaaS architecturesExperience leading or contributing to cloud migration projectsThe details:Location: BelfastWorking pattern: Hybrid, with core office days on Monday and ThursdayBenefits include private medical and pension matching
