Department of Education Large Scale Capital Works Programmes delivering new school projects
These projects are of critical importance in delivering essential healthcare and education capacity both regionally and nationally and are among the largest capital projects planned for delivery in the State. We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 7+ years' experience to join our growing structural engineering teams based in Dublin, Cork and Galway. The successful candidate will have a hands-on role in the design and delivery of structural engineering services across a broad and interesting range of projects.
About You
* Masters or Honours Degree (Level 8+) in Structural Engineering;
* 7+ years' experience working as a structural engineer on a broad range of developments
* Experience with Eurocodes, ideally with work experience in Ireland, the UK or Europe.
* Aspiration to get Chartered with Engineers Ireland/ IStructE in the near future.
* Solid technical and analytical skills with demonstrable problem solving abilities.
* Experience attending site and carrying out inspections in accordance with BCAR is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to develop and nurture relationships with colleagues, Design Team members, Clients and Contractors.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Interested in continuous professional development and learning.
* Good IT skills and experience with structural analysis packages (such as Master series, Tedd's, Robot, etc.);
* Full drivers licence desirable and valid work permit to work in Ireland.
