Job Title: Receptionist
We are seeking a skilled and friendly Receptionist to join our front office team at one of our premier hotels in Kilkenny.
Candidates must be available to work a combination of early, evening, midweek and weekend shifts.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with one year's previous hotel front office experience. They will be a team player who is proficient in handling guest requests, managing reservations, and ensuring maximum room occupancy at best rates. The successful candidate will also be able to use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review guest requests prior to arrival and ensure they are communicated to the relevant departments.
2. Greet guests upon arrival and anticipate any assistance that may be required.
3. Answer and direct calls through a switchboard to the agreed standard.
4. Perform check-in, check-out, cash management tasks and account management.
5. Manage online and phone reservations when required.
6. Ensure allocations are complete as per guest requests and yield maximisation.
7. Maximise room occupancy at best rates.
8. Action guest requests promptly and efficiently.
