Pricing Analyst
in
Westport, Ireland or Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire, England
on a permanent basis reporting to Pricing and Trading Manager. Job Summary
Portwest UC are looking for a pricing data analyst to research, analyse, and interpret data to develop optimal pricing strategies for Portwest products, aiming to maximize profitability while staying competitive. They will work with market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to inform pricing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Analysis - Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets related to pricing, sales, and market trends.
* Market Research - Conduct research on competitor pricing, market conditions, and customer behaviour.
* Pricing Strategy Development - Utilize data insights to develop and implement pricing strategies that align with business goals and market dynamics.
* Forecasting - Use financial modelling to forecast revenue, market share, and the impact of pricing changes.
* Reporting - Prepare and present pricing analysis findings to various stakeholders, including sales and marketing teams.
* Collaboration - Work closely with other departments like sales, marketing, and finance to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and aligned with overall business objectives.
* Monitoring and Optimization - Continuously monitor pricing performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies as needed.
* Staying Up-to-Date - Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in pricing analysis.
Requirements
* A minimum of up to 3 years experience in a relevant role.
* A bachelor's degree in a related field like mathematics, statistics, economics, or finance is typically required
* Analytical Skills - Strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
* Data Analysis Tools - Proficiency in using data analysis tools like Excel, Access, Power Query for Data analysis.
* Financial Acumen - Understanding of financial principles, including cost analysis, profitability, and revenue management.
* Communication Skills - Ability to clearly communicate complex pricing analysis findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Problem-Solving - Ability to identify and solve complex pricing problems using data-driven approaches.
* Attention to Detail - Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
