We are currently seeking experienced Materials Lab Technician to join our team in Naas, Co. Kildare.The RoleYou will be responsible for testing, sampling, and monitoring construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. This role supports the teams by providing accurate data and maintaining proper documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect and prepare samples of soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials for testing.Perform laboratory tests such as compaction, moisture content, sieve analysis, concrete slump, and compressive strength tests.Record and report test results accurately and promptly to the relevant personnel.Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained in good working order.Assist in implementing quality control procedures and compliance with project specifications.Maintain organised records of all tests and inspections for audit and project documentation.Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations always.RequirementDiploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).Previous experience in materials testing within construction or civil engineering projects is essential.Knowledge of quality standards and testing procedures.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Excellent communication and reporting skills essentialProficiency in MS Office and familiarity with laboratory software is an advantage.Full Clean EU driving licence essential.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Disclaimer: Please note, we are not accepting CVs from agencies at this time.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionOn-site parkingEducation:Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)Licence/Certification:B Driving Licence (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
